The collectives & labels Rebel Up and BXL Underground come together at Brasserie Illegaal through a shared devotion to bass culture. Blending Rebel Upโ€™s global bass foundations with BXL Undergroundโ€™s UK sound heritage, this night delivers a rich and truly eclectic sonic journey from dub to breaks, jungle, bass, offbeat techno and further!

Happy new year everyone! Rebel Up is back home from the tropics after our super fun tour in La Reunion.

This Saturday 24.01, Rebel Up SebCat will be spinning a late set at the historical Cafรฉ Charlatan club in the heart of Gent for the double birthdays of Noรฉmi (Indian Summer festival) and Benn (Mรฉlange Etrange).

Specially for their Birthday Bash, they’re bringing the crรจme de la crรจme of the Brussels and Wallonian scene to Ghent: Assaรฏ, His Dudeness, Rafael Aragon, Rebel Up SebCat and Benn himself will provide the musical journey. Expect surprises, warm grooves, and a vibe that lingers.

hey all, new release out by the Brazilian quintet Satanique Samba Trio, from the capital Brasilia.

For the fifteenth time, actually. After such an extensive carreer of Brazilian Rythm flasking, though, it is the first time they ramage through the Brazilian Northern traditions: in Cursed Brazilian Beats Vol. 1, they have a go at traditional styles such as the carimbรณ, the toada, the lambada and even the lesser-known guitarrada.

Out digitally or as 7inch limited edition single in cardboard artwork sleeve.

This thursday 20 march we organise a special Rebel Up Records label evening at the Ancienne Belgique club room in Bxl centre!

With 2 concerts, by Brazilian group Satanique Samba Trio to celebrate their new release on 21.03 on the start of their European tour, and a warmup show by Brussels duo Trance Plantations. DJ support by SebCat & Drache MuMu.

Satanique Samba Trio is an instrumental avant-garde quintet (yep, not really a trio), founded in 2003 with the sole purpose to be an idiosyncratic force on the Brazilian musical landscape. No Brazilian traditional rhythm remains unscathed on Satanique Samba Trioโ€™s trail of desecration. From samba to forrรณ, from bossa nova to lambada and carimbรณ, this Brasรญlia-based quintet (sometimes sextet) has been adding virulence, dissonance and provocation to Brazilโ€™s musical heritage. Their efforts on deconstructing Brazilian musicโ€™s most persistent clichรฉs have resulted in 15 records so far. After a (post-)covid hiatus, they finally hit Europe again to promote their upcoming 7-inch vinyl .โ€˜Cursed Brazilian Beats Vol. 1โ€™, to be released on the Brussels label Rebel Up! Records. The 7inch will be available at the show!

Rrita Jashari will bring global, oriental & bass sounds, followed by &RY (Echte Ra) and his deep house & afrohouse sound. His Dudeness & SebCat will close the night with eclectic global club sounds…

Brussels duo Hun Hun. Following a trip to Istanbul, the two brothers set about creating mini sound odysseys with new age, ambient and tribal overtones. Hun Hun’s compositions are experimental and timeless, playing on the repetition of ancient melodies and rhythms. Ready to get lost in the maze of the big bazaar ?
