New Rebel Up Nightshop shows online for November & October

Here are our latest Nighshop radio shows online, for October & November!

Nightshop show #122 for November. Starting with 2 songs of the day via Turkey & Brazil. We have 10 Albums of the month, kicking off with Brussels duo Trance Plantations and their cosmic experimental ambient jazz, a compilation of Congolese musician Franco’s label in the late 1970’s via Planet Ilunga, French duo Bonbon Vodou and their Caribbean folk pop and Discobole Orchestra & Christine Salem from La Reunion and their maloya fusions and a South Asia disco funk compilation via Soundway Records. El Khat brings their noisy Yemenite folk experimental sound to shake up things, Bristol Punjabi producer Indian Man with an album dedicated to his grandmother and with electronic collaborations between India & Africa, UK duo Dar Disku and their Arabian sea electro disco sound, Mexican Brussels duo Memo Pimiento and their electro cumbia synthwave and Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue with strong bass club sounds, and finishing with our monthly gig agenda.


and here our show for October, Nightshop show #121. Starting with 2 songs of the day via Colombia & Brussels. 11 Albums of the month, kicking off with the Ugandan artist Ekuka Morris Sirikiti and his thumb piano folk songs, Italian singer Lavinia Mancusi and her experimental folk sound, Brussels experimental jazz quartet Punk Kong, the Thai band The Paradise Bangkok International Molam band into more dubby & psyche molam sounds, the compilation Ghana Special vol 2 with disco highlife from the diaspora and tamashek desert rock band Etran de l’Aïr from Agadez, Niger. Following with tribal electro rock by Brussels quartet Why The Eye, Polish space jazz electronics for the mycelium age by Błoto, and more electronic vibes by producer Aleksand Saya from La Reunion in maloya meets amapiano, Ugandan drumming group Arsenal Mikebe in heavy electro punches, and Italian producer A-Tweed and his disco punk club sounds. Finishing with our monthly agenda.

In ealy July, we did our Rebel Up @ Friends session at Kiosk Radio with our Cuban friend Raul aka Chaonda of Cubalanz festival / Camarote Culture asbl. A session with latin sounds between cumbia & salsa.


and during summer break for Bruzz radio on our Rebel Up show, we hosted a string of global mixtapes by DJ Doraemon (Lisbon, PT), Skandal (Bxl), SebCat and Kokonuts (Kortrijk). Check them all below 🙂

new Rebel Up Nightshop April show online!

Nightshop April is online now, with songs by Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru who passed away end of march and a zouk tune from Guadeloupe.

We have 12! albums of the month, starting with spritual jazz by Syrian-French artist Naïssam Jalal, followed by Brussels group schroothoop and their special junk jazz sound, French-Malian duo Clement Janinet & Adama Sidibé with spiritual strings, Belgian band Gaïsha with psychedelic rock & grooves sung in Arabic. Entoto Band by musicians from Ethiopia and Eritrea bring Ethio funk classics, David Walters explores afro disco & funk and Belgian band Bernard Orchestar brings electro balkan brass in oriental bass. To end the show, Jamaican producer Gavsborg and his deep post-dancehall, DJ Kapwanthi from Malawi and his hyper beats, Ozferti brings his electronic afro club sound, Brussels producer Le Motel w/ Nigerian rapper Magugu and Swordman Kitala & Tim Karbon bring afro bass fire. New Rebel Up Nightshop show: March

Our Nightshop show for March, with songs of the day from Buenos Aires via UK, Tunisia & Italy and a Belgian-Bolivian tune produced in Colombia.

We have 10 albums of the month, starting with a spritual & jazz album from Guadeloupe by Polobi, followed by the international Belgian group Jiraan Ensemble and their instrumental eastern Mediterranean sound, Somalian band Iftin Group and their 80’s funk sound and the debut of the mixed trad punky Geneva band Yalla Miku. More electronic album via Turkish French group Biensüre and their oriental synths, Tunisian artist Ghoula with his electro maghreb album, the compilation ACIL Urgent Solidarity Music to raise funds for victims of the earthquake via 54 songs, the Ugandan experimental album by Rian Treanor & Ocen James and ending with Egyptian electro chaabi artist 3Phaz and his experimental bass.
