This thursday 20 march we organise a special Rebel Up Records label evening at the Ancienne Belgique club room in Bxl centre!

With 2 concerts, by Brazilian group Satanique Samba Trio to celebrate their new release on 21.03 on the start of their European tour, and a warmup show by Brussels duo Trance Plantations. DJ support by SebCat & Drache MuMu.

Satanique Samba Trio is an instrumental avant-garde quintet (yep, not really a trio), founded in 2003 with the sole purpose to be an idiosyncratic force on the Brazilian musical landscape. No Brazilian traditional rhythm remains unscathed on Satanique Samba Trio’s trail of desecration. From samba to forró, from bossa nova to lambada and carimbó, this Brasília-based quintet (sometimes sextet) has been adding virulence, dissonance and provocation to Brazil’s musical heritage. Their efforts on deconstructing Brazilian music’s most persistent clichés have resulted in 15 records so far. After a (post-)covid hiatus, they finally hit Europe again to promote their upcoming 7-inch vinyl .‘Cursed Brazilian Beats Vol. 1’, to be released on the Brussels label Rebel Up! Records. The 7inch will be available at the show!

And afterwards we do a Rebel Up x ECHT! afterparty @ Bonnefooi bar, as ECHT! also plays their new album release concert in the big room of the Ancienne Belgique. Expect a full lineup with underground electronic & global sounds by SebCat, Papelón Kifesh, Moon Yé and DJ Erd.

this Friday 7 feb, afterparty for Chouette festival in the mighty wild Illegaal brewery.

The yearly Chouette festival invited Rebel Up to curate their afterparty at Illegaal, to turn it into a global clubbing night with eclectic sounds from allover.

with special guests Pulsar Collective from Berlin, who will play a live set with Turkish psychedelic music, oriental house, melodic house and vocals, with members from Turkey, Germany and Poland. Their 1st ever show in Bxl & Belgium!

and Brussels dj’s Djane D’arc, Rebel Up SebCat and Nika, who spin downtempo, global clubbing and bass sounds for a fiery dancefloor to warm your body….

On Thursday 23 Feb, Rebel Up SebCat & DJ Wait & See will spin a Congolese vinyl set at expo opening of Charging Myths at Framer Framed gallery in Amsterdam.

Charging Myths is an art expo about the (post)colonial mining in Congo, organised by Congolese-Belgian-Dutch art collective On/Trade/Off.

Wedn 19 October > 10 Years of Global Club Music Network @ Titanic Sur Mer, Lisboa (PT)

Wednesday 19 Oct, the Global Club Music Network will celebrate their 10 years anniversary with a yearly opening afterparty at the Womex showcase festival.

The GCMN is a network of international DJ’s, producers, organisers and booking agents who work in the field of global club music, which Rebel Up is part of too.

The party will be at Titanic Sur Mer, an iconic riverside venue which can hold up to 200-250 people. There will be a live concert by Miroca Paris & band, a live dj set by Colombian DJ Guitto and dj sets by Rebel Up SebCat B2B Didi of Tropical Djipsies, Kosta Kostov, Makala, D Watts Riot, David Chavez Soundculture, Oonga, Boris Viande, Ali T, Chief Boima and more… plus also a jam outside on the riverside terrace.

Rebel Up @ WOMEX, Porto (PT)

Rebel Up SebCat will be at WOMEX in Porto this week, for the expo, showcase and as part of the Global Club Music Network. An amazing lineup with lots of international global artists in various venues in the Porto city center. See here for tickets to the festival evening & night showcases.

Every year the GCMN hosts a free afterparty for all on the Womex opening night. On wednesday 27.10 pre/afterparty at Ferro Bar (next Sao Bento train station) from 18h to 4am, on 2 DJ levels (rooftop & main room) with this lineup:
