DJ, film maker, ex athlete and pure music lover, Moon YΓ© landed in Bxl a few months ago to make here his new home. His roots are from La Reunion island in the Indian ocean, and this can be heard in his dj sets, where blends of maloya, kabar, sega, malagasy, indian styles, afrohouse and electronic music are played together in a forward organic sound that is deeply linked to his home region. Net to this he runs the Boulevard Sud agency, where he promotes emerging electronic global artists from La Reunion and the Indian ocean.

He experiments and transforms the traditional elements of Maloya by merging them with hip-hop and electro sounds, creating his trademark, which he calls M’Bass. He invites listeners to dive into a singular sound universe, where the vibrations of Maloya blend with deep bass and catchy syncopated beats and a captivating ability to bring souls together, while breaking down boundaries.
