Here some new radio sounds of the past month of January
Starting with a new episode of Rebel Up Nightshop for Radio Campus Bruxelles. A lot of global selections an new albums in 3 hours!
Also a new Rebel Up session for Kiosk Radio, with eclectic sounds between folklorical, classical and rootsical, all in an Arabic vibe. Ceasefire now!
We had our recent Rebel Up show at Bruzz Ice radio, in the theme of the Week van de Belgische Muziek (Belgian Music Week), where we had an interview with one of the members of Belgian band Alpacas Collective about their new album ‘Big Words’.
And for Radio Campus France, SebCat did a special mixtape for their Campus Club sessions. 1 hour of mostly contemporary Greek and Turkish sounds.
This mix takes you to the folkoric, psychedelic and contemporary sounds from Greece to Turkey, via Crete and Cyprus. A wide array of styles are played in this mix; from rebetiko to roma laiko, greek mambo, tsifteteli, nisiotika, taxims, karsilama, anadolu folk, nursery songs, psychedelic pop and rock, roman havasi and moreโฆ..

hey all,
this thursday evening, Rebel Up SebCat travels to Amsterdam together with Bxl jazz-groove-dub band Azmari. A concert night at the salon sonora of Mezrab venue.
Azmari will present their new album Maelstrom, just released earlier this month on Sdban Records, a mighty dive into jazz meets groove on a heavy sea bed of dub and oriental scales. DJ support before & after by Rebel Up SebCat.
