This coming Friday is most likely our last Rebel Up party of the year, and most likely also our last party at Antidote, if they close at the end of this year.

This Friday 15.12 , Rebel Up and HyperInstinct crews join forces for an amazing La Baraka #1 party at Antidote!

This party will act as a fundraiser for Palestine / Gaza, with a stand of screenprinting on tshirts/sweaters/bags etc > Bring your desired item with you! Also tapas snacks available all night (triangles/loempias). All benefits will be donated to the Palestinian cause. More information will be available at the Palestinian stand, run by crew from Brussels Against Genocide.

A mostly female special for International Women’s Rights Day and a focus on the middle east with music by NYP Records, SHIRAN (DJ Kobayashi) remix, interview with Palestinian artist Samah Mustafa سماح مصطفى about her new album ‘Billoor’, Black Lulu‎‏, Dina El Wedidi & Dj Totti, also interview with Norwegian artist Center of the Universe about his new EP ‘Interabangerz’ on Metronomicon Audio.

Crammed Discs, Rebel Up & Platform241 present Zenbobia !

Zenobia are at the forefront of the new, vibrant Palestinian electronic music movement. The duo combines Arabic pop melodies, Palestinian and Syrian dabke rhythms, synths & powerful beats with occasional dubby flavours.Their hypnotic live performances have made a big impression over a short period of time as they started performing in 2018, and have already played in the Middle East, Paris, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, South Korea and Brazil. This will be their first ever Brussels show! Their EP has been released on Acid Arab Records via Crammed Discs. Listen here!

We invited some special guests for a true Mediterranean flavour.

Rebel Up! SebCat will be accompanied by Israelian dj/producer Gal Kadan, who is specialised in music from the Levant (Libanon, Israel, Palestine, Syria & Jordan) and also by Spanish Brussels DJ’s El Gato Callejero and I Am Sardina, who will spin Iberian sounds from rumba Catalana to flamenco & mestizo + live percussion.

Expect a wild mix with dance music from the Mediterranean and the Levant > Latino Euro-Arab-Andalus connection!

2 March: Rebel Up! @ STRP festival, Eindhoven w/ Cairo Liberation Front & Copyflex

this saturday 2nd Rebel Up! crew will be in Eindhoven to play at the STRP Bienale festival, as we are invited by the fine folks of ∆ Cairo Liberation Front ∆ for a full-on arab revolution technofolk marathon in the foyer all night, also Copyflex (of Copia Doble Systema) is joining us.
Anyway, we’ll do our best to scare the IDM hipsters and chase the steppers in a night filled with DJ Shadow, Hudson Mohawke and much more electronic artists, so YALLA!

in case you should miss this, Cairo Liberation Front will come & play @ Rebel Up! Soundclash on saturday 20 april, so mark it down! 🙂
