Italo-Congolese artist & DJ Laryssa Kim serves up a fiery blend of Afro-diasporic and Caribbean sounds in her high-energy, booty-moving DJ sets. Blending classic Congolese Rumba and Soukous with contemporary Afro Pop, Shatta, Gqom, Singeli, Afro-Portuguese fusion, and Caribbean gems like Bouyon, Reggaeton, Soca and Kompaโ€”her selections are a fast-paced celebration of rhythm, movement, and joy. Expect twerking vibes, sweaty grooves, and an irresistible flow from start to finish. While she’s known for her immersive live-electronic performances and experimental compositions, her DJ sets reveal another facet of her expansive sonic world. Curious ears from the ambient side are warmly invited to explore her solo project on streaming platforms or vinyl, with her latest album โ€˜Contessaโ€™.
