Friday 17 november, Rebel Up & Figura Kollective organise Eastim night: A ViceVersa Story at Antidote (CityGate) in Brussels. Exchange project between Brussels and Timișoara (Romania), the cultural capital of 2023.
This event is a celebration of the European ideals of equal opportunities and unity in diversity, echoing the harmonious blend of cultures that define our globalized, multicultural world.
Based on the integration of the migrant community of Timișoara, through music into the artistic fiber of the city, this Figura Kollective initiative aimed to showcase that music transcends borders and acts as a bridge across civilizations.

DJ K is originally from the favela of Diadema in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At 22 years old, this young producer is a crucial figure in the scene of new styles of baile funk called “Mandelão” and “Funk Bruxaria”. Griot Tech is the new collaboration between Burkinabé percussionist & vocalist Kaito Winse (Avalanche Kaito) and Brussels DJ Rebel Up SebCat. They explore griot music from the Sahel/Western Africa in a punchy electronic sound via SebCat on decks & effects and Kaito’s live spiritual vocals and modified calabash percussion. RaqL is one of Brussels local up & coming dj’s. She specializes in tropical and electronic bass music from Portuguese-speaking and African communities around the world. Her roots are from Cape Verde, Portugal and Angola and her sets are eclectic and energizing. The event starts with a vinyl record fair in the afternoon from 14h onwards until 18h30 @ Bar Bricolage outdoor area. Rebel Up, Souma Records and countless other good labels and sellers will be there! FB event of record fair.

with Wau Wau Collectif(Senegal/Sweden) Avant-garde cosmic sounds from Senegal, Wau Wau Collectif’s Yaral Sa Doom is a groundbreaking group whose music album span borders and musical scenes. Inspired from West African tradition, Sufi praise songs, spiritual jazz, and dub rhythms, the effect is a genre-defying entry in outernational sound. “Airy, dreamlike music as generous as it is joyous” – Pitchfork
and warmup by Bhajan Boy & Raga Arkestra aka Ajay Sagger. His second album titled “Shanti Shanti Shanti” will be released at the start of November 2022. He will be joined by his Raga Arkestra, with special guests flying in to join this group. Expect a night of deep spiritual psych jams. and you get the chance to purchase the cassette album before its official release date.
