hope you are doing well in this up & down winter-spring weather transition,
Today is Bandcamp Friday again, where they waive their fees to support artists and labels until midnight.
We offer a 15% discount on all purchases until tomorrow night. Check out our digital & physical releases and merchandise. Use code bcfridaymarch to claim your discount 🙂 https://www.rebeluprecords.bandcamp.com
We hope you doing fine during this ‘deconfinement’ stage, slowly getting back to normal life. Artists worldwide are still in serious limbo, with no concerts, parties and festivals happening this summer up to september, meaning many of them will continue to have no income from their art for the next few months.
Today Bandcamp again waives their commission fee in support of artists and label, which they will do every 1st friday of the month during this crisis and the summer.
If you would like to support our label and artists, please see our catalogue. We have lowered prices on many digital and physical items, check it out!
Concert night on friday in BRASS cultural centre in Forest.
2 bands on the programme and 2 dj’s!
Los Orioles (CH) Like a gang roaming the world, the seven Swiss musicians of Los Orioles seem to have used wherever they went: the cumbia in Colombia, the dub in Jamaica, the rhythms and the guitars of West Africa, but also the most alternative whimsical francophone songs (we think of the Brigitte Fontaine / Areski Belkacem duo). Sung, rapped or declaimed lyrics that wander in an endless reverb amidst a precious selection of grooves from around the world.
In their physical form, their existence lasted only two weeks, confined in an abandoned Ottoman building, at the foot of the walls of ancient Jerusalem. Today in exile, the Spiritczualic Enhancement Center is a free-beat resonance field, an evolving and eclectic set of different cities and countries – they prefer the term ‘international’. In concert, four to ten musicians play a strange and ritual instrumental music, based on spontaneity and improvisation. After a series of concerts at the Fusion Festival (Germany), Outernational Days (Bucharest) and at the New Hamburg Festival, as well as in various concert venues in Europe, they have just announced three upcoming releases: ‘Transporting Salt’ on the American label Crash Symbols; ‘Who Corrupted Our Wave, Back in 1969?’ on the post-Babylonian label Kinship; and a vinyl, ‘Me and My Students Have Reached Higher Levels’ on the Paris label Akuphone, scheduled for early 2019.
We’re happy to announce that we are playing Esperanzah! festival this year!

Lots of good artists this year > our personal favorites this year are Ana Tijoux, A-WA, & Calypso Rose. Other artists like Emir Kusturica, Lee Scratch Perry and Manu Chao will surely not disappoint either.
Catch us from 23:00 @ Scene Découverte
There are still tickets left for Friday 5 Aug, but the 3 day festival passes + Saturday tickets have already sold out 🙁
