Hey all, this last week of June plenty of Rebel Up events in Brussels…
These are our last ones before a little break of almost 3 weeks.
(we will be back on 19 july with a big Globaal Illegaal party!)

Starting with wednesday 25 June at Vaux Hall in Parc Royal,
our So Scherp event organised by the city of Brussels , by Rebel Up together with Drache MuMu.

with Rebel Up SebCat, Moon Yé and special guest Bob Le Voyageur.

A special Colombian night with El Leon Pardo sexteto concert. Electro colombian band with ancestral sounds of the gaita (kiusi) flute, trumpets, percussion and electronics!
First ever show in Brussels.

Hey all,
Upcoming weekend some Rebel Up action!

Starting on Friday night at L’Impasse bar in Ixelles, Drache Musicale & Friends w/ SebCat as his guest. from 22h onwards. Vinyl only!
Free in @ 17 Place du Châtelain, Ixelles.

On Saturday 13 May, a whole afternoon, evening & night of music in Ghent at the Chinastraat / Bar Bricolage on the dockside area. Organised by La Nature Festival as a warm up to their main festival in June.

The event starts with a vinyl record fair in the afternoon from 14h onwards until 18h30 @ Bar Bricolage outdoor area. Rebel Up, Souma Records and countless other good labels and sellers will be there! FB event of record fair.

There will be outdoor music too, with DJ sets by Souma Records, Rebel Up SebCat, Rafael Aragon and Tropical DJipies crew (Didi & Raql) until 22h.

After this the music & party will go inside at Chinastraat venue next door, with these artists on the programme >>>

Join us for a Rebel Up Records saturday at APERODROOM SEE U from 2pm. Relaxing time around our guinguette & food trucks. Album release party of “Awakening Spirits” by Tropikal Camel.

Tropikal Camel (IS / Berlin Arabstazy)
Special guest is Tropikal Camel who will live present his new album “Awakening Spirits”, released just before summer on Brussels label Rebel Up Records. The new urban sound of Middle Eastern/North African futurism, an original fusion between traditional Arabic music with cutting edge electronic sounds. It is a quest for a new identity, one which has been released by colonialist thinking. One that has respect to the past but with heads up to the future, urban but tribal, dramatic but minimal, full of contradictions but keeping the balance. Electronic music that has a meaning and a story.

Tropical DJipsies (Brussels)
They united their feminine forces just before the International Women’s Rights Day. This mysterious female quartet has members from various countries and are part of the Brussels global underground attached to local crews like Giraffes & Penguins, Rebel Up and MEDEX. Global dancefloor sounds from all corners of the world, from feminist to activist songs and just pure global beat bangers, attached to their own southern roots and backgrounds as well as sounds from other continents.

Happy heatwave to you!

Thurusday 25 July, from 16 to 22h, Rebel Up SebCat will spin global heartwave tunes at the Aperodroom velodroom at the new See U cultural site in Ixelles.

See U is the new cultural site in Ixelles at the old police horse cazerne, with a wooden velodroom constructed by Bruno Herzele and Elke Thuys, together with the architects of architect office Dallas and cycling group Hors Categorie, especially for the Grand Départ du Tour de France.

There are bars, foodtrucks and every thursday to saturday local Brussels DJ’s.
Come for an apero or evening drink and dance to some tunes!

Music-o-Jardin brings summer vibes to the Elzenhof garden in Ixelles.
Come and enjoy the sun and music with cocktails, kids animation and catering by Our House. Free in!

and afterwards, playing at the Demarrage IV night in C12 venue. a free party night, also to celebrate the end of the student exam period.

Theme of the night is DJ set in different BPM tempo’s, changing every hour, with a big array of Bxl & BE dj crews, such as Rebel Up, Mentality, Slagwerk, Under My Garage, Deep in House, Break The Silence, Dar, Lait de Coco and more.

Rebel Up SebCat will do 45mins from 100 to 120 BPM, expect lots of cumbia, dancehall, bass, gqom and afrohouse 🙂
