This new mixtape focusses on lesser known global electronic dance music and folk pop styles from around the world. A celebration of the creativity and originality in global music production; the result of the clash between local and global forces, between tradition and modernity. A feast of surprises, of dynamic musical undercurrents and the ever shifting, hybrid nature of cultural identities. More than a regular dj-mix, this mix is meant as a sample of the music that we want to promote and its extreme eclecticism. It’s our mission to give a loud voice to the sounds of the global underground, of the disadvantaged and despised, the proud and furious. In short, the voice and music of the people.
