This tuesday evening, Babylon Trio will finally play Antwerpen for the 1st time (yes Antwerpen is very late to the electro arabic sound, we must admit). Respect to Zomer van Antwerpen / Muziek in de Wijk and the folks of Het Oude Badhuis for putting them in their programme.
Catch them live at during the Muziek in the Wijk evening at Stuivenbergplein in Antwerpen Noord. They will play from 18h30 to 19h30, followed by Algerian female chaabi singer Djazia Satour who plays at 20h. Promises to be a special arabic sound evening!
Zenobia are at the forefront of the new, vibrant Palestinian electronic music movement. The duo combines Arabic pop melodies, Palestinian and Syrian dabke rhythms, synths & powerful beats with occasional dubby flavours.Their hypnotic live performances have made a big impression over a short period of time as they started performing in 2018, and have already played in the Middle East, Paris, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, South Korea and Brazil. Irresistible dance and trance-go-go music of the Wagogo people from Tanzania in a contemporary electronic way. Msafiri Zawose grew up in a particularly musical family, with his father Hukwe Zawose as the main player. HUNA Sounds is a music collective constantly unmasking eclectic sounds from around the globe. By organising concerts and parties, they aim to spread their unconditional love for global underground music. For the next HUNA Sounds event, they invited Brussels based collective Rebel Up to play a set at Giraf Vlasmarkt. Cosy club night for the win.
