Rebel Up teams up with 54Kolaktiv and the 54 Sound for a night of Brussels bass dj’s, special guest Lua Preta and the 54 Soundsystem installed as a wall of heavy sound.

Lua Preta is vocalist / MC Ms. Gia of Angolan descent and Polish DJ and producer Mentalcut. Together they bring a frenetic mixture of futuristic electronic bass music and African genres such as kuduro, gqom, afrohouse, amapiano, bouyon and beyond.

This coming Friday is most likely our last Rebel Up party of the year, and most likely also our last party at Antidote, if they close at the end of this year.

This Friday 15.12 , Rebel Up and HyperInstinct crews join forces for an amazing La Baraka #1 party at Antidote!

This party will act as a fundraiser for Palestine / Gaza, with a stand of screenprinting on tshirts/sweaters/bags etc > Bring your desired item with you! Also tapas snacks available all night (triangles/loempias). All benefits will be donated to the Palestinian cause. More information will be available at the Palestinian stand, run by crew from Brussels Against Genocide.

Friday 17 november, Rebel Up & Figura Kollective organise Eastim night: A ViceVersa Story at Antidote (CityGate) in Brussels.
Exchange project between Brussels and Timișoara (Romania), the cultural capital of 2023.

This event is a celebration of the European ideals of equal opportunities and unity in diversity, echoing the harmonious blend of cultures that define our globalized, multicultural world.

Based on the integration of the migrant community of Timișoara, through music into the artistic fiber of the city, this Figura Kollective initiative aimed to showcase that music transcends borders and acts as a bridge across civilizations.

Starting on Tuesday 30 May at Botanique (Rotonde room), playing warmup dj set as Rebel Up Nightshop DJ’s or the AV live show of Ammar808. Expect some heavy electronic stambeli bass vibes!

On Thursday 1st of June, Rebel Up SebCat does his monthly residency at Kiosk Radio at 15h. Tune into livestream via www.kioskradio.com or come to the park.

On Thursday evening from 18h until 23h, Rebel Up outdoor dj set at ABY buvette at Abbaye de Forest. Free in and possibly with suprise guest Rust duo from Beirut, Libanon, and their electronic arabic sound at 20h30! Expect global grooves and electro global vibes.

new Rebel Up Nightshop April show online!

Nightshop April is online now, with songs by Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru who passed away end of march and a zouk tune from Guadeloupe.

We have 12! albums of the month, starting with spritual jazz by Syrian-French artist Naïssam Jalal, followed by Brussels group schroothoop and their special junk jazz sound, French-Malian duo Clement Janinet & Adama Sidibé with spiritual strings, Belgian band Gaïsha with psychedelic rock & grooves sung in Arabic. Entoto Band by musicians from Ethiopia and Eritrea bring Ethio funk classics, David Walters explores afro disco & funk and Belgian band Bernard Orchestar brings electro balkan brass in oriental bass. To end the show, Jamaican producer Gavsborg and his deep post-dancehall, DJ Kapwanthi from Malawi and his hyper beats, Ozferti brings his electronic afro club sound, Brussels producer Le Motel w/ Nigerian rapper Magugu and Swordman Kitala & Tim Karbon bring afro bass fire.
