Thursday 15.07, Rebel Up SebCat will be playing a back2back ping pong dj set with Jordi3000 aka Jordi Grognard of Yokaï at Recyclart Holidays before/after Avalanche Kaito (new noise rock project by Kaito Winse / Enthusiast Music, 1st ever concert!), Acte bonté, Gare du Midi project, vegan food, indoor minigolf and more!

Saturday 10.07 + Sunday 11.07 > Rebel Up @ Park Poetik Silent Disco party (Parc de Forest) & Brussel Danst (Bxl Centre / Muntplein – St Kat)

Saturday & sunday fun Rebel Up action in 2 special settings.

On saturday afternoon/evening Rebel Up is playing at Parc de Forest for Park Poetik, a silent disco party in an inflatable pink church! Really it’s not a dream or joke but a Funeral Of Norms Celebration Party. The church will be open from 16H and ends at midnight.

16H – 20h: Rebel Up, Carlositos Wey (Antitapas), & VK Vaartkapoen Ftoch Ke arabic crew. Expect all global sounds from latin, afro, arabic styles up to rock, swing, balkan, mestizo and much more swirly sounds!

After us, Didi of Tropical Djipsies, DJ Carie & more dj’s are playing from 20h to midnight!

On sunday from 14H – 18H, Rebel Up will be playing on a mobile bike sound system in Bxl center, between Muntplein/Place Monnaie, Beurs/Bourse and St Kat square. Spinning music from a go kart cuistax and stopping here and there to do mini street parties. Catch us there!

Congoville is an expo in Middelheim museum park with a focus on contemporary Congo as well as the colonial legacy / wrongs of the past. The expo consists of works by 15 artists, including Sammy Baloji, Jean Katambayi, KinAct Collective, Angela Ferreira, Maurice Mbikayi, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Bodys Isek Kingelez, Kapwani Kiwanga and many others. check the expo programme here.

Every friday apero session in the MIKA café garden of Middelheim. Friday 09.07 from 17H – 21H with Rebel Up SebCat & Mambele, diving into the Congolese rumba, soukous, folklore and other styles from the 60’s to now via vinyl & more.

Rebel Up & Friends @ Kiosk Radio session online (July) with special guest Ibaaku (Dakar/ Senegal)

Last thursday we had another Rebel Up & Friends session at Kiosk Radio, with SebCat and special guest Ibaaku from Dakar, Senegal. Global sounds on a deep afro vibe, from melodic moods to heavy bass. Ibaaku also played some tunes from his new album Neo Dakar vol.1.

Last tuessay was the Rebel Up season finale live show at BRUZZ with special guest Ikoqwe (aka Batida) interview about the new album on Crammed Discs w/ Octa Push and CelesteMariposa, also new tunes by Moonshine (SMS For Location vol.4) with Bamao Yendé, Vanyfox, Pierre Kwenders, Le Motel, MC Redbull Kinshasa, and a tune by Memo Pimiento Electric Orchestra.

Starting in the morning (for real) at the Cureghem/Anderlecht canal side.
The Microtunes X Breakfeest event is organised by Micromarché as part of their Recup Ton Quartier / Recup Je Wijk project. Listen to some tunes, do a workshop, have a pancake breakfast!
