Daniel Fernando Wahl alias Daferwa was born in Tübingen and raised in a Mexican-
German household. From an early age on he got in touch with a broad variety of Latin-American music as well as Rap, Hip Hop, House, Reggae, Dancehall, Dub and UK Sounds. His sets are innovative and rhythmically trips. From melodic and funky Beats, to hip moving Dembow Sounds to syncopated and percussive 4x 4, or halftime bouncy stuff. Strictly spoken – he doesn’t gives a shit about genres. Since 2005 Daferwa has been actively contributing to Cologne’s nightlife. In 2007, he founded the MASH IT UP! platform in Cologne; in 2009 he became resident DJ and
freelancing autor for WDR Funkhaus Europa (Germanys N°1 public radio station for Global Music) writing programs and conducting in-depth interviews. He’s of the main honcho’s behind and German global parties such as Mash It Up! (Cologne) and Global Player (Krefeld & Dusseldorf) . Having played many renowned festivals & parties such as Sziget (HU), Fusion Festival (DE) and supporting many international live bands and artists, he knows how to get a global party going. Be ready for some Mexican wildness with German precision 🙂
