special guests ❂❁❂ PÅL/SECAM (NL/FR) ❂❁❂
Pål/Secam is an Amsterdam based Dutch/French-British DJ duo, who spread the intercontinental PAN-AMAFROPEANS sound on the local dance floors. Pål/Secam both get bored rather quickly playing just one style of music. This means their sets are infused by the elements of surprise and excitement, in terms of mixing in another genre. Or the same genre, but from another continent. Congolese rumba, oldschool electro, deep dancehall, Cape Verdean Funaná, Surinami Kawina or Kenyan Benga music.. There is no end. This is the PAN-AMAFROPEAN sound, as they like to call it. The two joined forces in 2011 after dj-ing solo for several years. Sharing their interest in music they heard being played on Radio Nova and by dj’s like Theo Parrish, Pål/Secam developed their own style. With a mission to break musical boundaries by creating a diverse colourful pattern that tickles ears and feet. Pål/Secam combine delicate pre-selection with suspenseful improvisation on the spot. Which makes their vinyl and digital mixing raw, sensitive, startling and overall quite unique. https://www.mixcloud.com/PALetSECAM/ https://soundcloud.com/paletsecam

Rebel Up playing @ Pan-Amafropean party in a new place > Sexyland
First, from 13:00 til 14:00 a session at Red Light Radio, tune into the live stream.
We wished our parties were sexy, but somehow our guests often get disgustingly sweaty from dancing, or end up too drunk to look any good.. But not this time! This time we’ll be in SEXYLAND, and it’ll be slick, smooth and sensual..
✫pan-amafropeans in SEXYLAND✶ will be:
• a défilé of our favourite (and sexy) DJs
• a selection of sleazy, dirty and exotic musics
• cheap & stale (and maybe cold..) beer
• fresh food by sensuous Silvia (De Bakbrommer)
• (oh.. and an intimate little party for our 4 yrs avec une surprise)
This 3rd edition of Alta Cumbia Nite will be hotter than hell. Evil Cumbia vibes are expected on the dance floor and stage blending the hottest cumbia tracks with the dance of sexy devilish creatures. On the line up: Rebel Up! SebCat (BE) is joining us with a huge new collection of chicha vinyl recently brought from Peru, accompanied by sweaty visuals. La Banda Fantastica, the always evolving cumbia band from the Netherlands (Mexico/Argentina/Chile/NL), will bring some evil tracks to make you dance like a demon. And if that’s not enough already, our party partners DJ Larva & DJ Rengo Estar will take care that the temperature stays up all night long! Together with unexpected special guests, this promises to be a very caliente last cumbia night of the year, that you don’t wanna miss!

Next day on sunday afternoon there is a swapping market and musical matinee afternoon at our homestead venue OCCII. The Fly Agaric collective organises this afternoon of various swapping and with a special concert by Moroccan musician Lahcen Akil and the Chaabi Brothers. Wow!
Lahcen Akil was born in 1969 in the village of Tamlalte on the route of the thousand Kasbahs in the Moroccan High Atlas. Influenced by acoustic music and traditional Amazigh songs, he started music very young. As songwriter and poet, he writes songs about the beauty of the region which he plays on a self-made 5-stringed lothar lute, composed of a wooden handle, a palm soundboard and goatskin. Lahcen is joined by fellow villager and percussionist El Houssain Safir who plays the bendir, a traditional drum with vibrating snare. For the occasion, two more musicians come along: the bassist David and accordionist Matthieu. Be ready for a compelling evening of raw Amazigh roots out of one of the most beautiful regions in the world!
