The original TROPICAL parties are back ! and for the first time in Atelier 210.

Funky Bompa & The Roots Corner Soundsystem are teaming up for this special edition. DJ Tom B. (Paris, compiler of the Leve Leve Sao Tomé e Principé 2LP on Bongo Joe Records) is headlining an all-local tropical line-up starring DJ XOGN, Radio Martiko, Rebel Up SebCat, Holy Mutants and the Tropical ambassador Funky Bompa himself.

Expect a mighty selection of hurricanes and pearls from tropical and exotic regions. Cumbia, island funk, ethiojazz, samba, highlife, soukous, semba, rebita, benga, puxa, funana, coladeira, afro boogie, guaguanco, guaracha, mambo, merengue, cadence, kompa, disco calypso, maloya, sega & mucho mas.

This saturday, 25/01, Giraffes & Penguins land for the first time in the warm and cosy Antidote bar with a bunch of global Belgian vinyl DJs that will take you for a trip through wild afro, latino and PALOP sounds!

Behind the decks: DJ XOGN, Calacas duo (Mechelen) and resident DJs Le Grand Méchant Loop, Rebel Up SebCat and the Tropical DJipsies.

SABI SYSTÈME # 1 is the first evening of a cycle dedicated to the celebration of randomness and singularity, while dancing to sounds from around the globe, and meeting in Brussels.

Hosted by Safari Frappè – a recent fusion between Safari Produções (Lisbon) and Radio Frappè (Bxl / Maastricht) – this evening brings together an energetic line up of DJ and a hectic atmosphere, but also beverages and gastronomy from Cape Verde and from West Africa.

For more than 10 years Brussels collective Rebel Up brings underground global sounds to Brussels nightlife through events and parties in venues allover Brussels and festivals such as Esperanzah, Recyclart Holidays, Listen Festival, Forest Sounds, Nuits Sonores, Out Loud, Atlas Electronic, Goulash Disko and more and is also part of the wild Giraffes & Penguins nights.

Dutch roots but a global soul, Mango has been actively promoting and Djing with the Baobab Music Foundation since 2014.
