This Wednesday & Thursday, the Dutch Delta Sounds festival hosts a number of global bands & artists who reside in the Netherlands. The festival takes places in Bimhuis (7 sept) and Paradiso Noord (8 sept).

On Thursday Rebel Up! will be playing a DJ/VJ set at the afterparty in Paradiso Noord (also known as Tolhuistuin). Bands & artists playing that night as well >
Ronald Snijders Band, Minyeshu, Koffie, Rumbatá Beat Band, The Dubbeez, Boi Akih, Göksel Yilmaz Ensemble, Tiltan, Voodrish, Antimufa & DJ Goldfinger

Music from all parts of the globe: arabicana, latin, salsa, tango, kaseko, ethio-pop, jazz cross-overs, reggae, afrobeat, global beats, exotica & more!

Thu 10 jan; Dakhabrakha at Paradiso, A’dam; 3 x 2 tickets giveaway competition!

Thursday 10 january, crazy Ukranain electro-folk outfit DakhaBrakha are touring around the EU and coming to A’dam to play in the Paradiso in collaboration with Gonzo (circus) music magazine.

DhakhaBrakha’s sound is quite perculiar; they mix local Ukranian folk spheres and orally transmitted cultural songs together with African percussion, as well as Arabic, Bulgarian & Hungarian influences. They describe their music as psycho-folk-hiphop-trance-acoustic-triphop-ethno-chaos. Right so, we can dig that! Afterwards the eclectic Gonzo (circus) dj’s will spin records for a dance or two.

Paradiso is giving us 3 x 2 tickets to giveaway to three lucky Rebel Up! fans, so if you like to be there this evening with a friend, just mail to rebeluppa_at_gmail_dot_com and cross your fingers 🙂
