This is the 2nd installment of Rebel Up! LeBlanc’s obsession with Mexican cumbia sonidera. Special attention goes to the position and role of the sonidero in Mexican popular cumbia sonidera. He’s the DJ/MC/entertainer with cult status, permanently on the voice over, close to the laser sounds, jingles and effects… pitched voices, heavy rhythm n bass, endless shifting loops, cheap synth sounds, accordeons galore: welcome to any good old block party in Monterrey, Puebla, DF or LA, *Nueva* York or New Jersey.
