on sunday evening, Rebel Up will play @ Fiesta Latino festival in Bois de la Cambre (Ixelles).
The festival starts on friday 25th and runs until 27th, where we will play at the closing night alongside the band Forro Mior, DJ Odilonn & Vincent Thekal and our buddy Rafael Aragon. on friday & saturday, our friends of Memo Pimiento, Kumbia Boruka, Arumbo and DJ Funky Bompa will play too!
This friday & saturday we’ll play a free gig in Amsterdam and at the psychedelic Psy-Fi in the Friesland nature near Leeuwarden.
Friday @ alternative venue De Ruimte in Amsterdam-Noord. During the summer they have their terrace open with live acts and DJ’s.
With Rebel Up we’ll host friday evening with global tunes and hopefully also a live act! Free in! from 20h til midnight. FB event.
Then next day, saturday, we’ll go up north to Friesland province, for the Psy-Fi festival in a natural park area of De Groene Ster with lakes and such, nature bliss!
Psy-Fi calls itself a psychedelic festival, so not a typical Goa trance festival as there is much more on offer. From yoga, tantric & body awareness and artistic area’s to several music stages of which also a world music stage called the Global Theatre with live acts & DJ’s and the place where we will play a dance set 🙂
Also our Brussels friends of live act Memo Pimiento will join us, wepa! For sure it will be a psychedelic, colourful experience, fingers crossed for sun!
Sonido Gallo Negro is a nine-piece combo from Mexico City. With Farfisa organ, theremin and a pack of percussion, they combine cumbia sonidera, huayno, boogaloo and chicha with psychedelics and spaghetti western soundtracks, garagerock and 60’s surf. The collective signed in 2011 as the first latino band at Glitterbeat Records (Bombino, Tamikrest, …) and has two wonderful albums in the meanwhile.Exotic, psychedelic, but not to be missed. The black cock will crow! Spooky & hot!
