Rebel Up & NGHE Mediatheque present:
Friday 1 sept, a special double night about Afro-Brazilian ethnography, folk and traditional dance music.
Projections & Talk in the NGHE Mediatheque, given by Brazilian musician, dj and researcher Alfredo Bello aka DJ Tudo. Alfredo Bello is from the megapole of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and a researcher of Brazilian folk culture. He has a collection of over 2.000 hours of original music/video footage. Together with a collection of 16,000 LPs, it is considered one of the most important ethnomusicological collections of Brazil. The gathering of this vast material led to the creation of his label Mundo Melhor, documenting the traditions of several communities across Brazil.
He will do a projection & talk @ NGHE with video footage and sound clips of amazing Afro Brazilian coastal communities, indigenous Nordeste communities, traditional folk dance styles of the Amazonian north and much more, muito mais! 🙂
