This weekend the La Nature festival takes place from friday to sunday, an amazing electronic alternative festival in the Ardennes forest with 5 stages and a special lineup of Belgian and international artists and curated by several collectives, including Rebel Up.
On saturday we curate the Dome stage with Rebel Up style with DJ’s & live artists in jazz, global sounds, latino electronic, afrogrooves and hypnotic bass. Amazing stuff & vibes.

We again have some Rebel Up action this weekend in different parts of Brussels!
Saturday from 15-19H Rebel Up SebCat will drive around a soundsystem rickshaw at the Sound System Festival of Park Poetik between Parvis de St Gilles and Forest. Also catch the sound systems by Le Triporteur, Daddy K7, Juke-o-Cycle, the Single Platine by Funky Bompa, the cuistax by Dhazed Fyah and much more!

On sunday, record fair by Midnight Voodoo at the Kamilou bar near Arts/Loi – Kunst/Wet metro. Rebel Up Records & distro will be there too with a decent selection + DJ sets all day. From 12 – 20h.

Our albums of the month first take us to Africa with folk sounds from the Comores islands on Glitterbeat, southern Moroccan Amazigh blues music by Hassan Wargui (Hive Mind), Mdou Moctar’s tamashek rock album (Matador), Les Pythons de la Fournaise and their maloya & sega sounds (Catapulte) and Brussels female duo Mazima and their modern afropop children songs. Some strong jazz, afrobeat & afro cuban funk by Muito Kaballa Power Ensemble (Rebel Up) and a Jamie Branch live album in fiery jazz mood (International Anthem) In a more tropical mood with the roots-dub-cumbia by Krak In Dub (Galletas Calientes) and the compilation Club Coco selected by Coco Maria with lots of new latin artists and EP by Cameroon producer Nkom Bivoué in afrohouse and bass sounds.
