Brussels duo Hun Hun. Following a trip to Istanbul, the two brothers set about creating mini sound odysseys with new age, ambient and tribal overtones. Hun Hun’s compositions are experimental and timeless, playing on the repetition of ancient melodies and rhythms. Ready to get lost in the maze of the big bazaar ? this thursday evening, Rebel Up SebCat travels to Amsterdam together with Bxl jazz-groove-dub band Azmari. A concert night at the salon sonora of Mezrab venue.
Azmari will present their new album Maelstrom, just released earlier this month on Sdban Records, a mighty dive into jazz meets groove on a heavy sea bed of dub and oriental scales. DJ support before & after by Rebel Up SebCat.
Friday 17 november, Rebel Up & Figura Kollective organise Eastim night: A ViceVersa Story at Antidote (CityGate) in Brussels. Exchange project between Brussels and Timișoara (Romania), the cultural capital of 2023.
This event is a celebration of the European ideals of equal opportunities and unity in diversity, echoing the harmonious blend of cultures that define our globalized, multicultural world.
Based on the integration of the migrant community of Timișoara, through music into the artistic fiber of the city, this Figura Kollective initiative aimed to showcase that music transcends borders and acts as a bridge across civilizations.
