Saturday March 13 Rebel Up! Soundclash w/h Vega Selecta (PL), Process Rebel (US), DJ Chico Correa (AR) @ OCCII

Hi Up to you Rebels, we’re back in business,

Rebellion, yes ! Against many things for sure and maybe for right now against this daredevil winter. When will it end ? Well let’s forecast some Summer previews within the walls of the OCCII, this Saturday, 13th of March, starting at 22.30 as usual for another groundbreaking party together.

This time after guiding to the limits of the deepest jungle through dub and newstep music will beam you up to the Brazilian coasts of Nordeste and finish up in a soundclash with no rule game where you’re invited to burn the dancefloor.
For those curious of the program, here comes the menukaart.

Vega Selecta

With his big beard and his fluffy dreadlocks, the man knows how to warm up di dance. In a combination of Ethno Drum n Bass, Heavy dub and enchanting Reggae Back-a-yard, Vega’s Polish roots will talk loud and your ears will demand more of it.

Process Rebel

Our good friend from San Francisco, currently stationed in A’dam, will give us the premium pleasure of hearing his new release from his own cooking in a live set full of intriguing new level music where dubstep nourrishes itself of other influences in which breakbeat and dancehall are not totally innocent. Meaning simply, it’s fucking danceable and not only nodding the head and the tip of your toe. Well, you’ll experience the Process.

DJ Chico Correa

Our special guest has a real impressive CV for his age. Born in 1981, he’s already having its own electronic band, his regular DJ nights in João Pessoa, capital of Paraiba where he comes from. He will deliver for us one of his finest production called Pocket Band Live. You will hear, coming out of his bleeping funky buttons and pads various combination of Brazilian roots sound in a combination with own personal electro tricks. Watch out he might also use his guitar on stage and there you’re in for a treat.

Rebel Up! goes Brussels on fri 22nd of jan.> Nightshop Climate Jockey party @ Recyclart

Hey all,

Happy new 2010!
and yes, after A’dam & Utrecht, we’re also gonna start focussing on Brussels in 2010, and what more may come from it in Belgium or beyond!

This night will moreless be the start of our bimonthly nights in Brussels (Sat. 16th of april will be our first Rebel Up! party @ Recyclart)

Perhaps slightly different than our not-so-average Rebel Up! nights, this Climate Jockey night will be very heavy on global bass spheres. As we are starting the night with first sounds, we’ll do our best to heat up the floor with some tropical, sensual, tickling tunes from allover the globe.

We’re really proud to again play with our friend Hugo Douster from Lyon, who played with us in Utrecht last year. He sure will butter & fire up the dancefloor with his special style of tropical-rootsical bass selections, electronic body music with a tropical virus! His good friend Baxter Beez will play a similar crash course in bassheavy styles from the tropics. Further into the night, locally famed Brussels partycrasher DJ Lowdjo will spin his eclectic selections from everywhere.
