this thursday a special Congolese afternoon/evening at the garden of the Elzenhof cummunity centre in Elsene/Ixelles, next to Matongé area.
we´ll be playing from the afternoon and just after midnight, also live concert by local Congolese rumba soukous band Color Rumba and other dj friends + other activities and workshops too, FREE IN!

During the whole month of august, there are free musical evenings in the garden of the Elzenhof.
On Thu 22 august, Rebel Up! & Radio Campus host an evening with all kinda eclectic and global sounds by the Campus & Rebel Up! dj´s.

but also a live concert by local Brussels band Orch TP Jean Mikili!
This trio from Brussels specialises in Congolese rumba with fresh indierock while keeping it real for all to swing and shuffle to. It’s gonna be *Tout Puissant* for sure!

Tue 19 + Wed 20 March: 2 concerts of Manou Gallo & Women Band (ex-Zap Mama) @ Mercelis Theater, Elsene/Ixelles

The musical week already starts early.  Ivorian singer Manou Gallo & her Women Band will be playing 2 nights in a row in the Mercelis Theater, Elsene/Ixelles, hosted by KultuurKaffee as part of the KK World nights. Manou Gallo started her career with Belgian afro-funk band Zap Mama and since a few years she has embarked on her own project where she mixes various Western African styles together in a full modern female sound. More info and sounds can be found on her personal website.

On both nights we’re doing some Rebel Up! support before & after the show with some special african sounds of all things folky and slow swinging, Sebcat will spin on Tuesday and Leblanc on Wednesday evening.

IMPORTANT; Wednesday 20th is already sold out, but there are still tickets left for the concert on Tuesday 19th, so be quick if you like to be there!  Presale is just 10€.

Ahoy. bit of a last minute gig in Brussels this saturday

dj SebCat will play some globally inspired tunes at a VSO charity party @ cafe L’Amour Fou from around 22 or 22:30.

Come along if you like to swing for the good cause. There will also be all kinds of food on offer.

It’s 10€ in, but all money goes to the charity.
