Sebcat is very proud to present his self recorded & selected Rajasthan Street Music double LP, out since March on US label Sublime Frequencies. It has finally come out after some slow years selecting & readying the song, ever since Sebcat and VJ M undertook that trip to Rajasthan over 6 years ago. It has resulted in a truly special document of contemporary Rajasthani folk music in diverse styles with nice cover art work.
Read here what some websites say about it.

this wednesday at KultuurKaffee on the VUB campus another KK World night, with a concert of the Dhoad Gypsies of Rajasthan. This group consists of 4 brothers from a musical caste family that has been playing Rajasthani folk music for generations back to the times of the maharaja’s. Expect a mix of traditional Rajasthani folk and semi-classical Northern Indian compositions on tabla, harmonium, dholak drum and castanets, aided by a female dancer who will perform stunning traditional dance moves from Rajasthan.
Rebel Up! Sebcat will play support with Rajasthani & Indian sounds before & afterwards, with cassettes from his personal collection and other folklore, sprirituals, folkpop and filmy dance sounds from allover India and Pakistan, collected from 2 different travels in that region. + with added colourful visuals from travels in Rajasthan & India in 2007!
