Next few evenings & nights we have some great Rebel Up events in Bxl.

Thursday 16.02, expo opening / Jeudi baar at Brasserie Illegaal brewery, curated by Rebel Up, with live concerts by duo Bonzaiology (musicien de Phoenician Drive), duo Jean-Sebastien, and duo dj set/live by DJ Fresh Nunas & renowned trumpet player Aquiles Navarro (Panama/New York / International Anthem / River Down records) and SebCat.
Expo by Leonie Stolberg & Esteban Moulin.

Expect all sounds between jazz, rock, afro, latin and electronica, hybrid & eclectic.

On Friday 17.02, live concert by Acid Arab & guests @ Ancienne Belgique, presenting their new album Trois, just released on Crammed Discs.

Friday 27 & Saturday 28 may > Giraffes & Penguins Arab Bass night @ VK Vaartkapoen + Rebel Up & Friends @ Brussels Jazz Weekend afterparty, Le Reservoir Bar

Rebel Up weekend action once more!

On Friday we organise our 1st big Giraffes & Penguins party again since +2 years in the VK Vaartkapoen venue in Molenbeek. An Arab Bass night with artists from the Maghreb, Syria and Brussels.

We have a great lineup for you, with live sets by 2 special guests Rizan Said (keyboard player & composer of Omar Souleyman / Syria) and the percussive electronics by NURI (Tunisia / Shouka label). Also dj sets by local spinners Hiskhek Bishek, Tropical DJipsies, Rebel Up SebCat and Le Grand Mechant Loop as well as visuals by VJ Jan Vorst.

It will be a wild night and deep dive into the large pool of electronic arabic worldwide sounds.

On Saturday 28th, Rebel Up & Friends for the Brussels Jazz Weekend at the Reservoir bar in the Marolles.

2 levels of DJ’s in the bar & basement, vinyl and digital alike.
with special guest DJ Eggs Legs from Brighton (UK), band leader of King Lagoon’s Flying Swordfish Dance Band and who will play a live DJ set w/ percussion.
Joined by Freedo Figh & Roza (54K Sound), Didi (Tropical DJipsies), RaQL and SebCat.

This weekend some Rebel Up action in Les Marolles barrio of Brussels.

On Friday evening instore pop up dj sets at Julie Menuge Textile Design with a host of female dj’s by Tropical DJipsies, Cha Lotte, as well as Rebel Up SebCat.

It’s the yearly KRAAK festival again in Beursschouwburg and as always also a label record fair on saturday afternoon.

Rebel Up Records & distro will be sitting upstairs in the Silver Room (top floor) together with other good labels from 14h til 19h. Come and check!
