Sat 25 May: Rebel Up double day, Camiozinzo (parc Allee du Kaai) in afternoon and DIY Day (BiestebroekBis) at night.

The CamioZinzo AKA Lucid soundsystem is once more released in the park of Allee du Kaai on Saturday, next to the Zinzinerie.

Rebel Up has been invited together with Le Grand Mechant Loop and Rafael Aragon for the occasion to make you dance on afrobeat, cumbia, ethno techno and other global styles all afternoon!

in the night, Rebel Up will play at the afterparty of DIY Day organised by De Toestand at the BiestebroekBis.

DIY Day is a 2 day festival about DIY culture, brocante, expo, workshops, concerts and so much more. Full programme on both days > FB event

During the afternoon and evening, great concerts by Ensemble Orient-Occident de Muziekpublique, La Clinik de Dr Poembak, Kumbelé, High Jinks Delegation and Azmari, followed by the afterparty with Borokov, Rebel Up, Pim Rose, Phonetics and Selim Dion.

Rebel Up! crew in mother RUSSIA > Saint Petersburg and Moscow! @ Ethnomechanica festival & Dutch Days

Hey folks,

The weekend of 13/14 september we’ll be in great mother Russia as we’re invited to play on 2 festivals in Saint Petersburg & Moscow, yay!

On friday 13 september we’ll be playing a Rebel Up! DJ/VJ set at Ethnomechanica festival in the Kuryokhin centre, Saint Petersburg together with our friends The Ex, De Kift and Skip & Die, who will all join up to Moscow the day after.

Then the next day on saturday 14th, we’ll all be in Moscow in Gork park (apparantly an amusement park!) for the Dutch Days in Moscow festival as it’s part of the Netherlands-Russia cultural year 2013 that the Dutch and Russian governments organise together. Looks like the festival in Moscow is for free for all.
Here’s the timetable for Gorky Park, we’ll be spining 3 hours in total to spread some non-hating global love. fun fun fun! >

Sat 9 March > Rebel Up! Soundclash: De Kift *25 years jubilee* & warmup dj Pinchado (AR)

hello folks,

This saturday an amazing night coming up @ OCCII, Amsterdam, time to soundclash again.

Noord-Holland fanfare-punk-folk band De Kift will be our very special guests as they are currently doing their *25 years jubileumtour* and this will be their 2nd jubilee show in OCCII where they again will play 2 full albums; Vlaskoorts (1999) en Koper (2001) both excellent albums for the connaisseurs and they will be aided on stage by G.W. Sok (ex The Ex).

Sadly the concert of De Kift is already sold out (yes, those 275 places went very quick), but you can always come in afterwards for the afterparty around 23:30. see fb event here.

We’ll take care of a nice warm-up together with our touring amigo DJ Pinchado from la Boca, Buenos Aires before the band will kick off their (at least) 2 hour long set!
Afterwards we’ll start the after party with Rebel Up! dj’s & TP OK for those who need their healthy dose of alternative global dancing, with folk tunes spiced with latin, african, asian and arabic sounds 🙂
