on saturday 25 Feb, Rebel Up SebCat & Arian Zand will DJ at the closing party of the Moussem Cities Teheran festival in KVS theatre (in the café).

On Thursday 23 Feb, Rebel Up SebCat & DJ Wait & See will spin a Congolese vinyl set at expo opening of Charging Myths at Framer Framed gallery in Amsterdam.

Charging Myths is an art expo about the (post)colonial mining in Congo, organised by Congolese-Belgian-Dutch art collective On/Trade/Off.

Next few evenings & nights we have some great Rebel Up events in Bxl.

Thursday 16.02, expo opening / Jeudi baar at Brasserie Illegaal brewery, curated by Rebel Up, with live concerts by duo Bonzaiology (musicien de Phoenician Drive), duo Jean-Sebastien, and duo dj set/live by DJ Fresh Nunas & renowned trumpet player Aquiles Navarro (Panama/New York / International Anthem / River Down records) and SebCat.
Expo by Leonie Stolberg & Esteban Moulin.

Expect all sounds between jazz, rock, afro, latin and electronica, hybrid & eclectic.

On Friday 17.02, live concert by Acid Arab & guests @ Ancienne Belgique, presenting their new album Trois, just released on Crammed Discs.

Friday 09.07 > Rebel Up & Mambele @ Congoville expo / apero, Middelheim museum café, Antwerp

Congoville is an expo in Middelheim museum park with a focus on contemporary Congo as well as the colonial legacy / wrongs of the past. The expo consists of works by 15 artists, including Sammy Baloji, Jean Katambayi, KinAct Collective, Angela Ferreira, Maurice Mbikayi, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Bodys Isek Kingelez, Kapwani Kiwanga and many others. check the expo programme here.

Every friday apero session in the MIKA café garden of Middelheim. Friday 09.07 from 17H – 21H with Rebel Up SebCat & Mambele, diving into the Congolese rumba, soukous, folklore and other styles from the 60’s to now via vinyl & more.

The Microtunes X Breakfeest event is organised by Micromarché as part of their Recup Ton Quartier / Recup Je Wijk project. Listen to some tunes, do a workshop, have a pancake breakfast!

The CamioZinzo AKA Lucid soundsystem is once more released in the park of Allee du Kaai on Saturday, next to the Zinzinerie.

Rebel Up has been invited together with Le Grand Mechant Loop and Rafael Aragon for the occasion to make you dance on afrobeat, cumbia, ethno techno and other global styles all afternoon!

in the night, Rebel Up will play at the afterparty of DIY Day organised by De Toestand at the BiestebroekBis.

DIY Day is a 2 day festival about DIY culture, brocante, expo, workshops, concerts and so much more. Full programme on both days > FB event

Starting at the Studio CityGate >
It’s open doors at the CityGate the whole weekend, free in and lots going on, from BBQ to open studios, expo, workshops, live painting to performances, and also live sessions by the Berlin & Israel based freejazz group Spiritczualic Enhancement Center, Daniel Dzidzonu and many deejays. Rebel Up will play a 1,5 hour global dj set from 23h til 0h30.

Afterwards Rebel Up SebCat will go & spin at the Yoppeleyeppe fundraiser party in Collectif Au Quai. Fundraiser for the yearly social camp & festival Borgofuturo in Italy.
During the party we will present “Borgofuturo Social Camp #3”, a 3 days gathering made of debates, workshops and live shows where people can meet, share ideas and imagine a more sustainable society.

They guide you into a multicultural psychedelic travel around electronic world music passing by different cultures and continents.

with live concerts by Bob Corn (IT), Lava Lamp (AR) and much more.
