The inexhaustible driving forces behind Rebel Up! hop from continent to continent and this evening they will focus on the rich musical traditions of India. There’s more to Indian music than Bollywood and classical raga’s alone, so expect an alternative mix of rough street music and distorted disco folkpop from allover India by Rebel Up! dj’s SebCat & Riquetik.

22:00 > 22:15 Documentary on the Telluris project in Jharkhand.
Belgian charity organisation Telluris helps the Munda tribes setting up their own ecological projects in the forest state of Jharkhand in Northern India. As this Rebel Up! night is free, we would like to raise funds for Telluris so please come and donate something at our dj booth! This short documentary has been made by Rebel Up! VJ Maarten van der Glas.

22:15 > 23:00 Rajasthan Live Cinema
Atmospheric visuals from Indian street life (in the holy town of Pushkar, known for its camel fair, fun fair attractions, street music and rituals) recorded and mixed live by Rebel Up! By the end of this year, this project will be released by Sublime Frequencies as a compilation cd and dvd.
